It's not true you need to have a bowel movement every day, and missing one bowel movement does not mean you are constipated. Everyone's body is different; some people may have three bowel movements each day, while others may have only three per week.

Constipation is usually defined as fewer than three bowel movements a week, or your stools are hard, dry, and small, and evacuation is painful or difficult. Fortunately, constipation is not generally a dangerous condition and it doesn't last a long time.

Insoluble fiber does not dissolve in water and can be found in whole-grain foods and vegetables.
