Diaper rash is a common, treatable rash that most babies and toddlers have at one time or another. Skin affected by diaper rash is red, irritated, and may feel warm to the touch. A combination of moisture, friction, and allergic reaction to wipes or products used in the diaper area (creams, powders, salves) contribute to the development of diaper rash. Contact with urine and feces can also provoke diaper rash.
